Darkness over Hemwick launch.

This game began in January 2020 with 2 blokes sharing 8 bit game ideas in 45 degree (Celsius!) heat on a jobsite. Both of us being tradesman we weren't super tech savvy. Over the course of 2 years we often joked about creating an original idea for a fantasy game. Nothing eventuated.  Just the banter!

Fast forward to January 2022 and I'm on a jobsite and my phone rings. Turns out I'm going to be spending the next week in isolation because my partner has the dreaded COVID. I'm stuck inside basically. The backyard loses its appeal quite quickly when once again it's 45 degrees outside. Yes Celsius! Gets rather warm in the great Southern land during summer. So under the aircon it is to knuckle down and attempt to put our ideas into reality. I caught COVID of course so there's another week at home!

After 11 days I had the barebones of the game finished and over the course of two months I finished and expanded upon everything as much as I could. The game sat there for a few weeks until I finally pulled my finger out and got it fully finished.

I hope you enjoy Darkness over Hemwick because I had a blast making it and it certainly kept me going whilst in isolation. Cheers!
