I've also added a lot of soundscape Elements to the game. Lots of ambient sounds incorporated into the soundtrack. Some can be heard in this video. It's pretty basic but it definitely enhances the atmosphere. Nothing like some distant thunder or some howling wolves in your RPGS. The video below showcases a small section of the soundtrack aswell as a brief NPC encounter

Sound is very important, I agree. For me, I can't stand DeS Remake (with all respect) because of changes to both music & sound design in comparison to PS3 original DeS.
It seems you're doing pretty good with your vision of soundscapes!
