A brief yak on synth
After many years of listening to black metal and various dark ambient/Dungeon synth artists. I decided to release my own take on these genres. Without the time or resources to make BM I decided to take the Synth path. Lofi, Dark and atmospheric. A retro minimalist style. I made 6 tracks I thought blended together well each with their own unique qualities. I used a 22 year old softsynth to achieve this. I had 8 tracks in mind but I scrapped a few that didn't quite fit the tone of the album. It's short at 19 minutes but I didn't want it to get bogged down under its own weight. I had a blast making this album and I hope you enjoy listening to it.

What's the synth you referred to? Just curious.
Do you mean the one I used?
Exactly: "a 22 year old softsynth".
I used Absynth. It's from 2000. I recorded all the samples in Mac Os 9 then migrated them to another computer to mix it. You can get some decent and unique sounds from it. Would be much easier using something newer. I only used it because I had the gear ready to go. I've made every soundtrack this way. If I were to do this again I'd use a more modern program or just use a real synth.
Never tried that one, but have messed around with a few free VSTs in the past, and I currently have a full version of Reason 10 that I tinker with every once in a while.
That's awesome as man. I don't know if they still make 'absynth'. The company was called Native instruments. I think it was $180 or so brand new
